Guillard Art Deco Lamp
The ceramic body is a red pottery with a vibrant crackle glaze green overall and circles of gold, also crackled at the top, bottom and with three circles about the neck. It is in perfect condition with the original base and top mounting parts. The sockets and lead wire have been modernized for safety and a new linen shade provided. The bottom is incised with ?France?, ?Paris Editions Etling?, and ?Marcel Guillard?. Guillard worked out of a kiln studio in Boulogne Sur Seine along with sculptors and potters of the era including Raoul Lachenal. Etling was a Paris retailer and a major influence in the development and coining of the term ?Art Deco?.
