This charming, primitively painted pair of paintings are executed on the locker doors of the ship called the “Mistral”. The former owner’s name, Mrs. K. Donahue and address in Providence, RI, are noted. One painting is of the “Davy Jones’, the other of the “Djali”. Inscribed on the back: “Feb, 9, 1885 (from the diary of EHB) Pa paints two pictures on the doors of the Mistral’s lockers, one of the Davy Jones and one of the Djali..” They are in good condition with some missing paint here and there.
