Barbizon School Landscapes
This pair of circa 1870 oil on canvas landscapes have a signature, difficult to decipher "Saul Gert" perhaps. On the back of one, the title, "Bord de l'Amancon" is written in pencil on the back. The Amancon is a river in Burgundy. The other has an indestinct title written on the stretcher, "Mare dans un Bois C. . . ." The simple frames measure 14 x 19. They have been cleaned and are in good condition, each has a small patch.
